This can only be achieved and lived if systems work with international standards and store and represent data in a structured and standardized form. In addition to better communication, more precise data content and technical quality improvements, the FHIR standard – Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources – offers new opportunities for patients, doctors, scientists and, last but not least, for citizens.
