During the Covid-19 pandemic, online dance therapy sessions have become both a necessity and an opportunity. To explore the differences of effects on well-being in online versus face-to-face dance movement therapy interventions, the authors have conducted a pre-post-test study with 13 participants online and 14 participants face-to-face. Results suggest a significant increase in well-being over time in both groups, however no difference regarding the format. Moreover, descriptive values suggest a higher well-being of the online group after the intervention. Possible explanations for the findings and limitations of the study are discussed.
