For Creative Arts Therapies, both the design and the experience of real spaces, such as the canvas space or the theatrical space play an essential role. Digital space creates new possibilities for interaction and also refers to a change in research practices. This concerns in particular the therapeutic relationship as well as social integration and the associated change in proximity and distance. This year's annual conference of the WFKT, titled “Creative Arts Therapies in Digital Space”, was dedicated to these timely questions.
The conference was organized by the University of Witten-Herdecke on Oct 29th & 30th, 2021 and took place online.
The first pre-conference of the WFKT's “Young Research” working group took place on the 29.10.2021 online under the guiding theme: “There is magic in every beginning.”
