About this meeting

The German Society of Audiology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Audiologie, DGA) is the scientific society of all disciplines and professions who are concerned with the investigation of all aspects of hearing and hearing disorders as well as with diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of persons with hearing loss. Since 1992, the DGA (https://www.dga-ev.com/dga/) is a member of the European Federation of Audiological Societies (EFAS). Since its foundation in 1996, the DGA provides annual meetings. In 2020, it will be hosted as a virtual conference due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

The program of the annual meeting is composed of structured scientific sessions, blocks of free papers and posters, the junior symposium as well as commission meetings. The congress is accompanied by an extensive exposition of manufacturers and providers of diverse products related to audiometrical equipment, technical hearing aids, and implants.

The conference topic “Listening across the live span” gives a broad range of scientific findings and is reflected in numerous presentations, posters and impulse talks during the structured sessions. With about 100 contributions, it allows for rich scientific discussions and gives important information for vocational training and education.
