22. Jahrestagung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Audiologie

Deutsche Gesellschaft für Audiologie e. V.

06.03. - 09.03.2019, Heidelberg

About this meeting

The German Society of Audiology (Deutsche Gesellschaft für Audiologie, DGA) is the scientific society of all disciplines and professions who are concerned with the investigation of all aspects of hearing and hearing disorders as well as with diagnostics, treatment and rehabilitation of persons with hearing loss. Since 1992, the DGA (https://www.dga-ev.com/dga/) is a member of the European Federation of Audiological Societies (EFAS). Since its foundation in 1996, the DGA provides annual meetings which attract many participants (n=660 at the last congress, held in Heidelberg).

The program of the annual congress is composed of keynote lectures, presented by renowned invited speakers, of structured scientific sessions, blocks of free papers, tutorials and commission meetings. The congress is accompanied by an extensive exposition of manufacturers and providers of diverse products related to audiometrical equipment, technical hearing aids, and implants.

The major concerns of the last meeting – „objective measures“ and „models of hearing“ – were reflected in keynote lectures of Terry Picton, Michael Scherg, and Marc René Schädler, as well as in structured sessions titled with „otoacoustic emissions“, „objektive measures and auditory rehabilitation“ und „models of hearing“. A total number of 270 contributions (oral and posters) and 4 tutorials guaranteed an exceedingly abundant offer for scientific discussions, education, and training of professionals.
