In the Netherlands, the 8 academic medical libraries are united in CAMBIN: the Convention Academic Medical Libraries In the Netherlands.

The objective of CAMBIN is to promote the efficiency and effectiveness of the scientific information provision within academic medicine by supporting new developments, contributing to national science policy issues (e.g. open access) and by monitoring the quality of the information provision.

We exchange information, share experiences and best practices for management decisions, to improve information services for our user groups. Main topics are research and education support, besides negotiations for optimal package deals for medical scientific content.

We meet once every three months, and learn from and with each other in an informal, friendly and trustful atmosphere.
