Aachen, Germany 02.02.2012 – Together with the medical faculty of the RWTH Aachen, the GMA, Gesellschaft für Medizinische Ausbildung (Association for Medical Training), is announcing an invitation to their 27th annual meeting September 27-29th, 2012, at the Universitätsklinikum Aachen (University Hospital). The event constitutes a platform with the theme "Crossing boundaries” – International, interdisciplinary, interprofessional medical training, to provide the possibility of gathering and exchanging information on new opportunities, challenges and knowledge acquired in medical training.

Modern medicine has shown an increasing need for an interprofessional and interdisciplinary collaboration in patient care. This is reflected accordingly in new approaches to teaching and learning concepts.

Together with the medical faculty of the RWTH Aachen, the Association for Medical Training (GMA) is announcing an invitation to their 27th annual meeting September 27th – 29th, 2012, at the University Aachen. The event provides a platform with the theme "Crossing boundaries – International, interdisciplinary, interprofessional medical training" to help serve the needs of physicians and students of human medicine as well as psychologists, veterinary and dental practitioners, nursing and ambulance service personnel to learn about and exchange information on opportunities, interdisciplinary and interprofessional challenges and to inform about new knowledge in medical training.

There is a wide-range of current topics: from blended learning to human resources and organizational development, new research topics and applications are highlighted in the program.

The call for abstracts has begun and interested parties may submit their abstracts until April 13, 2012. During the congress there will be moderated poster sessions.

Sponsors and exhibitors have the opportunity to showcase their products and services to the 600 expected participants and can in this way establish valuable contacts.
