15. Internationales SkillsLab Symposium 2021

18.03. - 20.03.2021, online

Welcome

Welcome to the abstract publication of the 15th International Skills Lab Symposium 2021 online of the German Association for Medical Education.

From 18 to 20 March 2021, our scientific congress was all about the topic: “Structured observation, feedback, trust – evaluation methods in skills training”. Supplemented by the two keynotes: “Are we dancing around a golden calf? The relevance of test quality criteria in the testing of skills and performance” by Prof. Dr. med. Thomas Rotthoff, MME and “How can communication skills become part of everyday clinical practice? Experiences from the implementation of a national strategy to improve the quality of conversation in patient care” by Mag.a Dr.in Marlene Sator, numerous discussions and inspirations developed for the large field of skills in the context of medicine and medical education.

We are delighted that numerous authors from Skills Labs in the D-A-CH region have actively participated in the 15th iSLS and, that we can now publish their current research projects as well as training observations from a wide range of fields: from communication, simulation persons (SP), basic courses in medicine, DIY models, testing and evaluation, to practical for practice, students as teachers, virtual reality.

We wish everyone an inspiring reading of these abstracts from our symposium and hope to see you at the next iSLS 2022.
