Outline

Text

The term posterior uveitis describes a highly heterogeneous group of diseases. For some well defined entities like acute retinal necrosis, toxoplasmic chorioretinitis or occlusive retinal vasculitis in Behcet's disease therapeutic recommendations are published, which are evidence based. Good evidence is also available for the treatment of cystoid macular edema.

This presentation will summarize the relevant publications and recommendations for evidence based treatment of posterior uveitis.
