Photonics technologies have brought about a profound revolution in corneal diagnostics and therapy. This presentation provides a concise overview of the latest advancements in cellular corneal imaging, delving into both historical perspectives and contemporary developments. These advancements encompass a broad spectrum of innovations in Optical Coherence Tomography and Confocal Laser Scanning Microscopy, addressing aspects such as enhanced usability, wide-field and three-dimensional imaging capabilities, elastic image registration, and AI-driven tissue classification. The objective of this talk is to illuminate key methodologies, underscore recent progress, and explore their clinical relevance.
