Introduction: A plethora of new and established semi-automated systematic review (SR) information retrieval tools exist but keeping up with this fast-moving field is time consuming for busy biomedical SR searchers. We are developing a quick and intuitive guide for expert searchers, organizing the tools by search strategy development phase and evaluating key features using standardized criteria to make choosing and using tools easier.

Methods: List of search tools primarily drawn from the SR Toolbox website and categorized by search phase: initial scoping/seed citation list development, keyword/phrase/subject term identification, search logic, strategy evaluation, database translation, grey literature search, and deduplication. We are analyzing the tools using an overarching, across-categories set of criteria (ex. Fee/Free, Web-based/download, file import/export, usability, etc.) in addition to specific strategy development phase criteria. We will present our preliminary results in our draft data visualization reporting format.

Results: We will present our preliminary findings.

Conclusions: We will present our preliminary conclusions.

Keywords: strategy development tools, text-mining
