Text

Between 2007 and 2013, we selected 41 patients/47 ears/from various EMJJ Clinics, who were diagnosed with conductive hearingloss, no middle ear infection, tested by comprehensive ear research.

During otosclerosis disease Stapedotomia and Stapedoectomia surgeries were conducted.

We used 0.4-0.6 mm wide 4.0-4.5 mm long Kurz K-Pistontitanium prosthese.

Results of research. Among 41 patients involved in the research by age, they were 8–15 years old 5 people, 16–25 years old 6 people, 26–35 years old 7 people, 36–45 years old 20 people, 46–60 years old 3 people 36 persons were with one side otosclerosis and 5 persons with both ears otosclerosis.

Among 8–25 years olds, 11 persons were diognosed with Schwarz sign, and 25 patients had decreased hearing threshold were 25–40 dB in 2,000 and 4,000 Hz frequency.

Hearing test showed that for 11 persons bone gap was normal, air gap was 35.4 ±15.1 dband bone-air gap difference was 25.4 ±15.1, for 21 persons bone gap was 2,000 Hz, 4,000 Hz frequency decrease of 25–30 dB, air gap 45.4 ±14.1 dB, bone-air difference 38.4 ±13.1 dB, for 9 persons bone gap 2,000 Hz, 4,000 Hz, at 8,000 Hz frequency hearing decrease of 30–80 dB, bone-air difference 38,4 ±14,1 dB.

5 patients, who have hearing impairment in both ears and 36 patients with that problem in one ear have been confirmed with Otosclerosis, (in total 46) surgical procedures have been conducted with 11 stapedotomy, 21 partial stapedotomy, 14 full stapedotomy andfor 36 ears for 0.4 mm wide with 4.0 wide 4.0 mm long К-Piston titanuin prosthese (KURZ company,Germany), for 10 ears 0.6 mm wide 4.5 mm long К-Piston titanuin prosthese (KURZ company,Germany) were used and during the procedure it is been confirmed the otosclerosis diagnose.

The improvement results after surgery were reviewed for 21 days, 60 days, 120 days and on the 60 th day we took audiometer and ASSR tests for all patients, and identified the results.

The results after 21 days after the surgery as follow: for 26 persons bone gap was normal, air gap 15.4 ±5.1 dB and bone-air difference 10.4 ±4.1, for 8 persons bone gap 2,000 Hz–4,000 Hz frequency 15–20 dB, air gap 20.4 ±10.1 dB, bone-air difference 15.4 ±3.1 db, for 9 persons bone transfer 2,000 Hz, 4,000 Hz, at 8,000 Hz frequency 25–45 db, air transfer 35–65 dB became 20.4 ±5.1 dB, which improved the hearing (р<0,01) and all patients had no more diziness, 4 patients had tinnitus symptoms.

After 60 days after surgery 32 patients hearing was improved completely, for 6 persons bone gap 2,000 Hz andat 4,000 Hz frequency 12–15 dB, average of bone gap 15.4 ±10.1 db, bone-air difference10.4 ±3.1 dB, for 9 patients bone gap 2,000 Hz, 4,000 Hz, at 8,000 Hz frequency 20–40 db, air transferbecame 25–45 dB. 10.4 ±5.1 dB and improved hearingexcept 4 patients still had tinnitus problems.

After 120 days after surgery 33 patients hearing was improved, for 5 persons bone gap became 2,000 Hz–4,000 Hz frequency 12–15 dB, average of air gap 15.4 ±10.1 dB, bone-air difference10.4 ±3.1 dB, for 9 patients bone gap 2,000 Hz, 4,000 Hz, at 8,000 Hz frequency 20–40 dB, air gap became 25–45 dB, 10.4 ±5.1 dB, all patients had no hearing loss except for 4 people who still had tinnitus.
