Introduction: 223 patients with malignant neoplasms of the larynx got an operation on the ENT-clinic of AMEOS-Hospital St. Salvator in Halberstadt in the last 10 years. In 63 of this patients an endoscopic, laser assisted, microlaryngoscopic hemilaryngectomia was possible with good functional results. In this paper, primary total Laryngektomi and functional Hemilaryngectomi over a Laryngofissur were not considered.
Method: In our patients, there was 33% T1-tumors, 30% T2-tumors and also 30% T3-tumors. 13 patients of the last group got a functional surgery. In this cases 6 patients must got a Hemilaryngectomi over a Laryngofissur.
Results: In all patients was a Ro-resection of the tumor possible. Only over a Laryngektomi it was successful in 16 patients of the T2- and T3 tumors. 71% of our patients got a Neck dissection. In 27 patients (42.8%) it was done 1.7 weeks after surgery. Most of the patients (71.4%) show a good voice function postoperative. Eating was unproblematic possible.
Conclusion: A functional receipt in surgery of malignant neoplasm of the larynx was in relation of the T-feature (T1-T2, particularly in T3) possible. The endoscopic, laser assisted surgery is a good procedure for the treatment of this larynx tumors. The functional postoperative results are good.
