According to the motto “Digital Medicine. Recognizing, Understanding, Healing”, the German Society for Medical Informatics, Biometry and Epidemiology (GMDS) and the Technology and Methods Platform for Networked Medical Research (TMF) are jointly organizing a digital conference on the challenges and opportunities of digitization in healthcare from September 26 to 30, 2021.
Digitization holds great potential – also and especially in medicine. Cross-domain and cross-institutional networking, big data, artificial intelligence and robotics can help improve research and care, but they also pose new challenges for those involved. At the conference, the TMF and GMDS would like to discuss the opportunities and risks of the use of new information technologies in medicine with you. Experts from research and care, IT and science policy will discuss the potential of digital medicine with each other and with the audience, as well as the resulting requirements for data protection, data security and ethics.
