Die Wiederherstellung von Form, Funktion und Ästhetik durch die Distraktionsosteogenese erfolgt auf Basis des Grundkonzeptes der Rekonstruktion von Gesichtsstrukturen "like with like" und der zusätzlichen Korrektur der skeletalen Verformung des Gesichts. Die Distraktionsosteogenese ist dabei in vielerlei Hinsicht einsetzbar:
- 1.
- Im Rahmen der rekonstruktiven Chirurgie durch "bone transport" als Regenerate durch Osteo- und Histogenese
- 2.
- Zur Korrektur der dreidimensionalen Verformung des Gesichtes vor allem bei komplexen chirurgischen Protokollen
- 3.
- Als induktive Chirurgie in der ästhetischen und rejuvenilen Chirurgie des Gesichtes bei Volumenverlust im Alter "since all tissues grow old"
- 4.
- Für die Verbesserung der biodynamischen Interaktion von zwischen Stütz- und Weichteilgesicht im Sinne eines "bone muscle crosstalk"
