The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection provides immediate online access to over 1,700 seminar style talks, each specially commissioned from leading world experts (including Nobel Laureates). The talks are in the format of animated slides with synchronized narration and are presented by many of the same experts that researchers would want to hear present at a conference or as a guest lecture. The collection is organized into over 80 comprehensive series and is updated each month with additional series and talks.

Topics range from genetics and molecular biology right through to disease aetiology and therapy. Series editors and speakers are leading, internationally recognised researchers who work with Henry Stewart Talks to ensure that each series within the collection provides a trustworthy, comprehensive and up to date review of their field. Without convenient online access to the collection attendance at hundreds of scientific meetings to hear talks of a similar scope and calibre would be necessary (but impossible to achieve) requiring thousands of hours of international travel and vast expense.

As well as being an excellent way for researchers to stay up to date on the latest developments in a field, the collection is ideal for enabling researchers to quickly immerse themselves into a new area. The resource is highly prized for giving scientists the ability to ‘attend’ world class seminars by leading authorities from around the world, in one online resource – wherever, whenever, and as often as they like.

In addition, The Biomedical & Life Sciences Collection also permits an organization to reduce expenditure on travel to conferences and for invited speakers. It is arguably the most cost effective and environmentally friendly contribution to the continuing professional development of scientists of recent times.
