Abstract

The assessment of the adverse effects of inhaled medications corticoterapie on upper airway in the long term remains a controversial issue

Our objective was to evaluate the influence of corticoterapie on upper airway inhaled medications.

Method: were selected for the study 20 patients aged between 30 and 65 years who received corticoterapie inhaled. They were tracked in the dynamics of the relationship of the dose inhaled corticoterapie-side effects of superior Airways (nasal mucosa, pharyngeal, laryngeal).

Results: the data obtained from corticoterapie on inhaled medications to patients in the study regardless of the dose administered (small, medium, large), have shown changes in the nasal mucosa, pharyngeal airway, both in appearance and color.

Conclusions: It was noticed the appearance of secondary manifestations in patients in our study, such as: oral candidiasis, dysphonia, decreased immunity, irritation of the nasal mucosa, epistaxis, but they could not be related to administration of coticoterapie inhaled due to diseases associated they to show them.
