This conference recounts the use of digital means in Dramatherapy, starting prior to the Coronavirus pandemic, and moving into the current state of affairs. The irruption of the pandemic pushed many dramatherapists to use digital resources and work online, forcing them to become acquainted with what was perceived till then as a “foreign tongue.” Furthermore, it required from them to express themselves fluently in online practice within a very short time. Quoting from practitioners’ interviews, this process is compared with experiences of “forced migration.” Four different positions have been observed concerning this “migration”: resistance, anxiety, adjustment, and fluency. However, more than representing established positions within the field, these stances tend to shift dynamically, even within the same person.
