Conclusion: The Subgroup Explorer is a new application to analyze the population of clinical trials in minute detail. This allows the analysis of multiple subgroups to identify any groups that differed from the overall trial result. This reassures the clinical team that nothing has been overlooked, provides a deeper understanding of the investigated population, or leads to more targeted planning of future trials. And all this can be achieved within a single, comprehensive and coherent presentation. The Subgroup Explorer was developed by the Biostatistics Innovation Center at Bayer AG and is freely available.
