Background: In this part of the workshop we will provide an overview to what extent (Medical) Data Science is included in various Bachelor and Master programs of the disciplines and sections of the GMDS.

Methods: For this purpose, several courses of study, such as Medical Informatics, Statistics with minors in Medicine, Epidemiology or Public Health, Health Information Management as well as Systems Biology (especially Bioinformatics) are analyzed with regard to their module manuals and evaluated which parts of (Medical) Data Science are included there.

Results: Required courses and electives are included in the analysis, but are presented separately.

Conclusion: Objective of this study is to build up a comprehensive expertise of the common GMDS study programs in order to show where the strengths and gaps of the respective degree courses lie.
