This is the Central Asian regional project to create a portal (http: //www.carebms.net/) which has a major goal to foster collaboration among medical societies across CA region. It is aimed to share information among Central Asian health society by bringing up-to-dated evidence based clinical guidelines, developed both in CA countries and internationally.

The website has six major parts:

1.

Clinical guidelines (regional and international);

2.

Methodological documents (international and national manuals);

3.

Activities related to EBM and CPG promotion in the CA region;

4.

Key international resources providing best available evidence and evidence based guidelines;

5.

Information for patients (from evidence based guidelines);

6.

Forum for discussion among members of the CAREBMS Net.

The portal will also focus on:

• evaluation of CP/CPGs in development;
• sharing of up-to-date information, manuals, instructions, and experiences; and
• discussions on important health issues pertinent to the CA region.
