The role of the coordinating center for the development and implementation of clinical guidelines in the Republic of Kazakhstan belongs to the Center of Standardization and HTA. By center was made decision on the adaptation of existing clinical guidelines. In a process of searching for the adaptation of clinical guidelines in Kazakhstan revealed the following features:
- 1.
- Canada is most closely matches to Kazakhstan by climatic conditions and the type of the existing health care system. However, there are some differences in terms of morbidity and epidemiology.
- 2.
- WHO Guidelines are intended mostly for developing countries, to whic Kazakhstan is no longer true. However some guidance could be successfully adapted for Kazakhstan.
- 3.
- Some foreign classifications of pathological conditions do not always correspond to the classifications used in Kazakhstan at the present time.
- 4.
- Some clinical guidelines include a description of the treatment methods that are used in Kazakhstan, however, differ radically on the characteristics of the population.
Despite the foregoing, our guides are selected in the databases of various countries and organizations, we do not give priority to any organization or country and select a developer guide only based on the potential applicability, ease of adaptation process and to obtain permission to use.
