The NICE Fellows & Scholars (F&S) are a cohort of 40+ clinical, nursing, therapy, management, public health and social care professionals with interests in education, audit, research and national and guidance implementation. They were established to promote proactive two-way collaboration between NICE and local and national clinical communities. The F&S have been supported by events, access to people/ information, and the development of the network. An implementation science event, positively evaluated by participants was the springboard for many in developing strategies to support implementation in their local context. G-I-N provides a forum to share this experience and learning with workshop participants to review the methods and tools used by this developing champions and ambassadors network supported by NICE.
Target: Participants wishing to reflect on systematic, evidence based approaches to tackling the diversity of challenges/ opportunities faced in local implementation of national evidence; Individuals who support or are part of networks aimed at changing practice; Leaders from organisations wanting to establish an ambassador/champions programme
Workshop: Operation of the NICE F&S programme: Q+A: Model a reusable workshop format for an Implementation science-based learning approach with participants (used with the cohorts of F&S, led by Martin Eccles, Val Moore, Jeremy Grimshaw); A NICE Fellow and Scholar describe how they identified local barriers/ enablers to change, and what their actions resulted in; Plenary and evaluation will gather key learning points/ considerations for supporting evidence based guidance champion's networks
