Text
The reconstruction of congenital thoracic-breast malformation has been transformed into more simple procedures since the introduction of autologous fat grafting.
The correction of funnel chest (pectus excavatum), Poland’s syndrome, breast deformities (asymmetry and constricted/tuberous breast) is successfully performed for many years in Coleman technique.
Fatgrafting has many well-known advantages, the first for the reconstruction being to be an adaptable technique which permits to put the volume where it is needed.
But, collecting and preparing the fat used to be a time consuming procedure when large volumes were needed, which was the case for the correction of thoracic-breast malformations. The introduction of new technologies has permitted to reduce this disadvantage.
Technique and results will be discuss using either Coleman technique or the water assisted liposuction (Bodyjet®) with (Lipocollector®), with a foffow up of more than 10 years for the first technique and of 4 years for the second.
