Purpose: To evaluate the incidence of IOL rotation in patients with a history of toric IOL Implantation for astigmatism.
Design: Retrospective consecutive case series.
Methods: Case records of patients who underwent surgery to rotate their intraocular lens after implantation of a toric IOL were screened. Pre-operative and post-operative data was taken from the patient files.
Results: 673 eyes were implanted a toric IOL in the last three years. 65 eyes were subsequently rotated because of suboptimal lens axis orientation. Data is currently being analyzed.
Conclusion: In our collective from 2017 until 2019, 55 of 673 eyes were repositioned after toric IOL Implantation to improve their visual acuity.
