Purpose: To compare performance and features of currently available femtosecond laser platforms.

Methods: We reviewed four femtosecond laser cataract surgery systems; LenSx laser system (Alcon, USA), Catalys precision laser system (Optimedica, USA), LensAR laser system (LensAR, USA), and VICTUS laser system (Bausch & Lomb, Germany)

Results: There were distinctive features of each femtosecond laser cataract surgery system. LenSx laser system is the most widely used platform. Catalys laser system has the merits of liquid optics interface and spectral domain OCT. LensAR laser system has unique scheimpflug camera based imaging component. and VICTUS laser system has real time OCT and is capable of multiple applications

Conclusions: Each platform has its own characteristics, so there are cons and pros. Selection depends on the surgeon’s preference.
