The success of the previous International Age-related Macular Degeneration Symposia held in beautiful Baden-Baden inspired us to organize the 8th Symposium in 2023.
Over the last years there have been major breakthroughs in our understanding of pathogenetic factors in multifactorial, complex AMD. We are approaching an era of new targets and strategies for treatments. It therefore is timely to review our current understanding and seek for translation into novel therapies.
