Three GMS journals with a Journal Impact Factor
We congratulate the editors of the three GMS journals on this great success. Even though the Journal Impact Factor can be viewed critically, it is still of great importance in science.
Since 2016 and 2017 respectively, GMS Journal for Medical Education, GMS Hygiene and Infection Control and GMS Interdisciplinary Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery DGPW have already been indexed in the Web of Science, namely in the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI)™. The journals indexed in the Web of Science Core Collection and the citation frequencies recorded therein serve as the basis for calculating the Journal Impact Factor. GMS Hygiene and Infection Control for example now has a JIF of 3.0.
