Introduction: We report our experince with the use of pectoralis major flap in the reconstruction of various head and neck defects.

Methods: İn 5 years we have performed 20 pectoralis major flaps and one composite pectoralis major rib glaft in 20 male and one female patients. İt was used for the reconstruction of various head and of neck defects ranging from skin defects to total glossectomy and laryngopharyngectomy.

Results: There was one case with distal flap skin necrosis, and one case with total skin island necrosis with no other significant complications.

Conclusions: The pectoralis major flap is reliable and robust and is still a valuable option in the head and neck reconstruction
