The work of information specialists will change significantly in the next few years. New technologies will lead to improving or transforming existing processes in information services teams. The key here is to recognize the potential improvements and become an active part of the digital transformation. This can be done by upskilling employees or setting up new departments with specific knowledge, e.g. regarding programming.
In the session NICE and IQWiG will present their strategies on how the institutes are adapting to the challenges of automation. In addition, case studies are used to show which topics and tools NICE and IQWiG are currently working on.
The session is intended to facilitate an exchange between people and institutions on the topic of coding skills and automation. Space is given for exchange and learning from each other. Discussions in small groups are planned for this purpose.
Possible group outcomes will be presented in the plenum:
- Conceptual solutions or practical ideas and approaches for the topics
- Set of specific questions the group has identified for the topics
- Lessons learned in the past
