The purpose of this study is to research the results of DSEK in posttraumatic corneal dystrophy.

Methods: 14 patients with posttraumatic corneal dystrophy received DSEK. 9 patients have got corneal dystrophy after penetrating wound of the cornea, 4 patients got corneal injury after IOL replacement, 1-as a result of prolonged stay of the alien substance in anterior chamber. Visual acuity before operation was 20/1000–20/200. At one time 5 patients acquired phacoemulsification, the foreign bodies were removed from 10 eyes. OCT, confocal microscopy and corneal hysteresis(CH) were made before and 3 months after operation. By OCT average thickness of corneal graft was 146,4, of whole cornea 687 micron. Average density of endothelial cells was 1280 cells/mm? before DSEK. Mean quantity of CH before DSEK was 6,4. In 2 cases there was corneal graft dislocation, in 3 cases the pupillary block took place.

Results: Follow up period showed the transparency of cornea in all patients. The vision after operation was 20/100–20/50. The average density of endothelial cells in 3 months after DSEK was 1271-1456 cells/mm?. The mean quantity of CH after was 7,2-9,6 mmHg. By results of OCT average thickness of corneal graft was 150 micron.

Conclusions: Results of this research show on the possibility of DSEK in cases of secondary posttraumatic corneal dystrophy. In all cases noticeably increase of visual acuity and recovery of corneal transparency were achieved.
