In reviewing the latest literature on this topic as well as our clinical experience of specialized consultation hours for the past 11 years, it is evident that only a systematic and a programmed way of proceeding can be effective. Diagnosis should rely on localization, type, and finally the classification into known clinical scenarios. The highest possible diagnostic accuracy can then be achieved by using this step-by-step diagnostic algorithm determined by the previously known pathology in the field of Kneeinstability and based on ten sensitive basic tests. Depending on the pathology found in these basic tests, the relevant structures being considered are studied further with specific structural tests.

In the lecture this efficiency-orientated algorithm will be demonstrated. An on-the-job training is planed. Modern Ultrasoundequipment for practical training is available.

A handout will be distributed.
