Within the orthopaedic center of the "Hanse"-clinical complex, Stralsund 432 Sledge-Prothesis have been implanted.

109 patients (121 knee joints) have been checked afterwards in average of 9.4 years (1/20). According to KAPLAN-MEIER a 9 year long survival ratio of 93.44% has been realised.

The knee-score (INSALL et al) increased from prae-surgery 53.46 to post-surgery 93.57, the function-score of prae-surgery 49,37 to post-surgery 82.76 and the over all score from prae-surgery 102.83 to post-surgery 176.43.

8 aseptically loosened knees were confronted with 2 times exchange of Sledge-Prothesis, 4 times with a shift to an unstring total surface-substitute and 2 times with a rotation-knee-joint

Within a weighted indication positioning the result's of the medial sledge-prothesis are comparable with them of the total surface-substitute.
