German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery

01.06. - 05.06.2011, Freiburg

82nd Annual Meeting of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery

June 1-5, 2011, Konzerthaus Freiburg / Cinemaxx Freiburg (Germany)

Prof. Dr. Dr. h. c. R. Laszig

Dear colleagues,

"Create the future" has been chosen as our motto, and with our Annual Meeting we respond to the challenge with more than 800 contributions in the form of lectures, posters, and round tables. ENT-medicine offers a rich variety, and we will certainly give a lot of suggestions for its further development. A lively exchange of ideas and vivid discussions will be enhanced. This meeting will give us the opportunity to integrate ENT science, clinical aspects, and practice.

In these times of globalisation also in ENT-medicine, the now well-established structure of an "International Forum" constitutes an excellent possibility for adjusting our national viewpoints with those of our colleagues from other countries. This year Spain and the Ibero-American countries have been invited as special guests.

The scientific program is enriched by the large and interesting program of the German ENT-Academy and the "Day of ENT-Care". The public is introduced to our subject in the frame of a "Patients’ Day", supported by the local media.

As the President, I am looking forward to our Annual Meeting, and I want to thank all those who have been working hard creating and organising the event. I am especially grateful to all the speakers for helping to make the meeting an interesting one.

Please take an active part in this meeting, use the opportunity for discussion and exchange of ideas, and take the future into your own hands.

I am happy to welcome you to Freiburg.

President of the German Society of ORL HNS

Note:

Medical science is subject to constant developments. Therefore it may occur that current research results which could not be taken into account when submitting the German abstracts are now part of the presentation of abstracts/posters at the Annual Meeting of the German Society of Oto-Rhino-Laryngology, Head and Neck Surgery.
The English abstracts which are published after the Annual Meeting may therefore diverge in content from the German abstracts on this site. Hence, the published articles meet the state of knowledge at the completion date of the respective manuscripts.

Hint: Using "Search in HNO 2011" (top right) you may search for authors, titles and text content of these abstracts.
