Welcome
In several events during 2023 the German-West African Centre for Global Health and Pandemic Prevention (G-WAC), the Central African Infectious Disease and Epidemics Research Alliance (CADEIRA) and the German-Latin American Centre of Infection & Epidemiology Research & Training (GLACIER) have consolidated research of PhD students affiliated with the DAAD Global Centres in several events.
The core event was the centres’ 2nd Joint Digital Symposium. Delivered completely online, the symposium is characterised by its holistic conceptualisation, closing scientific gaps while bringing together junior researchers from different scientific disciplines and thereby including thematic areas from: Health Systems/Health Economics, Virology/Diagnostics, Bacteriology/Parasitology, Epidemiology and Surveillance, Community Engagement/Social Sciences, Digital Health and Zoonosis.
