Each cochlear implant must be fitted for the single patient in order to properly activate the fibers of the cochlear nerve. The map represents the personalization of the system for each subject: the patient's communicative performance will depend on this map. Clinically two methods are used to build a map: the subjective psychoacoustic response or/and the objective electrophysiological thresholds. An objective method to evaluate the thresholds is the NRT (Neural Response Telemetry), that is the electrical equivalent of the electrocochleography. Considering the main clinical application of the NRT, that is the knowledge of the T and C level in non-cooperating subjects, we evaluated the reliability of these methodology considering the results in 50 experienced patients divided into two groups: the first with straight electrode array (CI24M), the second with perimodiolar array (CI24 Contour).
