Introduction: Wound healing in extensive neck onkological surgery is provided by the range of pathophysiological processes. Tissular ischemia in the level of capillary can appear as the result of different factors. Suitable prevention of the stage is based on the experiences of the medical staff - vacuum drainage duration, pressure of the bandage and redressements frequency etc.
Method: Simple protocol of interfascial pressure measurement and assessment was created and the prospective randomized study has been started. Measurement probes - Codman Microsensor were implanted during operations in to the operated field. This type of probes was designed exclusively for the intensive medicine for monitoring of intracranial hypertension. Sensors were connected to Codman Intracranial Pressure Express. The pressure of the neck soft tissues was monitored two days.
Conclusion: Discussed method seems to be suitable for the exact tissular pressure measurement. But the high acquisition costs keep it from becoming widespread.
