Figure 1: Antimicrobial effect of different plasma treatments: HiPIMS 8% and HiPIMS 20% without and in combination with PBII compared with an untreated polymer surface (ABS). Staph. aureus suspension in 0.85% NaCl with 1.86E+07 CFU/ml was used. The ABS (acrylonitrile-butadiene-styrene) plates were contaminated with 50 µl suspension and 120 min incubation time. No CFU was detected. A reduction of 6 log stages (99.9999%) was determined.
