Figure 1: Therapy protocols: a) MHH-protocol: patients receive rhTSH at 0.9mg i.m. on days 4 and 5. Radio ablation with 3700 MBq of 131Iodine (RAT) is performed on day 6. b) standard protocol: patients are discharged five days after surgery. After 4 to 6 weeks without thyroid-hormone substitution they are rehospitalized and receive 3700 MBq of 131Iodine (RAT) on the first day of second hospital admission. After RAT they are discharged on day 4.
