Figure 1: Immunohistomorphometry of CD68 (macrophages) [Fig. 1A], CD11b [Fig. 1B] and C- a-actin (smooth muscle cells) [Fig. 1C], cell density [Fig. 1D], lumen stenosis [Fig. 1E] and TUNEL (apoptosis) [Fig. 1F] were performed on cryostat cross-sections of the innominate artery (=brachiocephalic trunk).
