GMS Journal for Medical Education calls for papers for the Special Issue "International Medical Students"

In light of the increasing interest in the training of international medical students at German universities and with the aim to strengthen the scientific approach in this field, we would like to explore this specific topic of medical education in a special issue entitled "International Medical Students" in GMS Journal for Medical Education.

The GMS Journal for Medical Education's editorial board as well as the editors in chief – Prof. Dr. Martin Fischer and Dr. Götz Fabry – support this project and call for submissions of thematically relevant and scientific contributions.

Please note that the following deadlines are binding to ensure the special issue’s prompt implementation:

Please note that manuscripts that are submitted or revised after the respective deadlines cannot be published in the special issue. They may, however, be published in one of the subsequent regular issues of GMS Journal for Medical Education.

Manuscripts can be submitted either by using MOPS (Manuscript Operating System, https://www.rheinware.org/mops/) or by sending an MS-Word file to our editorial office (kontakt@gma-dach.org). Please also check our information for authors when preparing your manuscript and clearly specify your manuscript to be submitted for the special issue on "International Medical Students", so that your contribution can be assigned accordingly.

We welcome all your qualified contributions, but please note that all manuscripts will undergo the common practise peer review process. All contributions for the special issue will be reviewed by at least two external and independent reviewers and edited by the editors. As usual, the editors in chief (Martin Fischer and Götz Fabry) will make the final decision whether a manuscript is fit for publication in the GMS Journal for Medical Education.

If you have any questions, please feel free to contact Daniel Huhn (Daniel.Huhn@med.uni-heidelberg.de) who will serve as the corresponding guest editor for this special issue.

We look forward to your contributions!

With best wishes

Daniel Huhn & Christoph Nikendei
