Call for papers for the special issue on Practical Skills in Medical Education of the GMS Zeitschrift für Medizinische Ausbildung

The GMA committee on Practical Skills has decided to publish a special issue of the GMS Zeitschrift für Medizinische Ausbildung on Practical Skills in Medical Education to call more attention to this topic.

Articles (original papers, projects and overviews) are sought on the topic of practical skills that address content, teaching, models or other research-accessible, skill-related topics.

The following deadlines must be observed to allow for publication:

Manuscripts can be submitted via MOPS (Manuscript Operating System) or sent as Word files directly to the editorial office: kontakt@gma-dach.org. When submitting or sending a manuscript, please be sure to include clear indication that it involves a contribution for the special issue on Practical Skills, otherwise it will be impossible to forward and process the manuscript in connection with this specific call for papers.

We are looking forward to receiving professional articles and wish to point out that all articles will be subjected to the usual review process. Articles that are received or revised after the deadlines and, as a result, cannot appear in the special issue may then be published in one of the subsequent journal issues.

The articles will be read by at least two reviewers and edited by the two chairmen of the GMA committee on Practical Skills, Kai Schnabel and Christoph Stosch, as the editors of the special issue. The final decision regarding publication of individual articles shall lie with the journal’s editorial board (Götz Fabry and Martin Fischer).

Christoph Stosch and Kai Schnabel
