gms cooperates with Dryad for Open Data

German Medical Science (gms) supports the Open Data movement and invites the authors to make the relevant research data underlying their manuscripts available for review and publication. The cooperation with Dryad, an international repository for data underlying peer reviewed scientific and medical literature, offers an easy way for data archiving.

Advantages of depositing data at Dryad include:

In the context of this cooperation, the first article with simultaneous data deposit at Dryad has been published in the journal GMS German Medical Science.

The German National Library of Medicine, as one of the institutions involved in gms and committed to the publication and preservation of research data, has accepted to cover initially for two years the cost of data uploads at Dryad, which are associated with new articles in GMS German Medical Science. The integration of other journals in the Dryad cooperation is in preparation.
