The 50th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery (DGPW) took place from October, 11 to October, 13, 2012 in Hannover.

The Anniversary Meeting was themed "Challenges for the Future – The Future of Challenges" and focused partly on issues treated as hot topics in the news of the last months.
