28th Annual Meeting of the German Society of Phoniatrics and Pedaudiology / 2nd Three Countries Meeting D-A-CH online
The main topic “The elderly – limited communication and its treatment” provides for the increasing need of the elderly for specific treatment of language, voice and swallowing disorders. Communication disorders in old age are interrelated to psychosocial sequelae and affect the quality of life of patients and family members.
In addition to this application area studies concerning early infantile speech and language screening and objective diagnostic investigation of swallowing and speech disorders are presented.
Articles relating to voice disorders comprise all topics from etiology to therapeutic options.
Pedaudiological articles focus on optimization of the newborn hearing screening, the development of auditory processing after cochlea implantation and functional hearing loss.
