A cooperation project Hamburg sport federation and the authority for science and health. Everyone can reduce their own fall risk: Most humans need additional information, motivation and support. Here in Hamburg it is our goal of furnishing you with the concept of 'fall prevention', this basic courage of fall prevention should stant for people at the age of fifty. (Participants should be generally healthy and mobile, which will allow them to arrive to the courses independently and participate in movement exercises.) Elderly are not to be able to come into the associations, are attainable only over old peoples homes) The lecture explains the concept of how here in Hamburg we offen lasting surface coverage as a means of fall prevention.

The experiences from focus groups points to a high dergree of interest elderly People in “fall prevention”.

Crosslinking to senior mechanisms takes a very high value. The offers are accomplished in cooperation with senior mechanisms.

The way to lasting fall prevention

Establish test-courses of fall prevention with individual recommendations. Accomplished in sports clubs or in senior mechanisms. In the courses topic is practically concerned both theoretically, and. Made for the duration of one weekend interested with dynamic balance exercises, body perception, body pattern and structure of muscle familiar.

The course will provide the participants with an exercise three months of purposeful training in strength and coordination of the improvement of motoric and dynamic balance. The participants in these test-courses will be classified and sorted allowing to specific individual needs. For example purposeful strengthening of the muscle skeletal system trains dynamic balance and coordination. We will take this issue from two sides - on the one hand we will look at fall avoidance and its complexities and on the other hand we will explore prevention by lifestyle modification and movement training and muscle skeletal training. It is of high importance that participation in this program receives full support from health insurance companies and will fill into the concept SPORT PRO HEALTH.

As a result of their participation in this program participants are expected to be able to return to lasting existing movement offers at various sports clubs.

Participations in this and other programs will be included as well as special offers for their association. We expect the participants to be able to cross finial and move back and forth between different course-offerings. Participate will also be allowed the option to observe the exercises without participation to get a feel for what offered.
