Outline

Text

Physical activity for elderly persons is judged to support an aging process in high quality. In contrast to these scientific results only a small part of elderly people participates regularly in sports. Up to this time there are only few programs, which succesfully deal with the needs of elderly people. To reach sustainable effects, interventions had to be target group oriented and focused on specific settings (communities, rediental homes, etc).

To achieve a knowledge about the arrangenent of successfull interventions in the planned symposium several models of good practice from different countries wil be presented. The focus of these presentations lies on those factors, which influences the sustainable development of structures and settings.
