Dacryocystorhinostomy is a widespread procedure carried out by otorhinolaryngologists in or without collaboration with ophthalmologists. Multiple techniques have been employed so far, combining personal skillness with technology transfer. The endonasal usage of laser technology in this field has further expended the capabilities of otorhinolaryngologists. An update of current implications is thoroughly presented and analyzed. The state-of-the-art of this delicate procedure is presented in detail.
