We report a case of a 13 year old male patient with a thymic fistula of the neck. After preoperative ultrasound and magnetic resonance tomography diagnostic, the patient underwent an uncomplicated subtotal extirpation of the tumor under general anaesthesia. This non malignant tumor-entity should be taken into differential diagnosis of head and neck tumors specially in children and younger patients with which the oto-rhino-laryngologist is confronted.
