Workshop/Arbeitstreffen

This workshop will focus on the challenges faced by faculty to introduce new content into the curriculum and the strategies necessary to be successful. For controversial topics such as complementary, alternative and integrative medicine, the barriers are more formidable. Dr. Haramati will draw on the experience of several initiatives in US medical schools that were funded by the National Center for Complementary and Alternative Medicine to develop model curricula. Some of this work has been summarized in a collection of articles that appeared in the October 2007 issue of Academic Medicine.
